MEET ERICA

Known for her inspiring cues, evolving training techniques and “Can Do” attitude

I’m a group fitness instructor, certified personal trainer, and virtual coach on a mission to help my clients feel their best, inside and out! I’m also a wife, mother to an incredible 7th grader, and entrepreneur—so I understand how hard it can be for someone to take time to focus on health, wellness, fitness, and nutrition. That’s why I employ my own signature brand of energy, enthusiasm, spirit, and drive into every client engagement. I aim to inspire everyone I work with to become their healthiest selves—and they inspire me, too.

I’m a fitness industry veteran, with over 20 years of professional experience under my belt. That experience grounds me in my work, as I’ve mastered tried-and-true training techniques that get results. But just as importantly, I’m committed to always learning new approaches, and incorporating innovative new techniques to keep workouts fresh, interesting, and challenging.


My commitment to education is embodied by my professional certifications, which include Madd Dogg Athletics Spin, Les Mills Body Pump, PiYo by Beachbody, New York Sports Club Burn, and the American Sports & Fitness Association Personal Training & Group Exercise/Bootcamp programming. I am also a contributing writer on health & fitness topics for Latinas in Business and Latinista Magazine as well as a guest blogger for Momalot, a community dedicated to providing resources, tips and all things that helps us be our best as moms.


On any given day you’ll find me working with private training and online coaching clients, teaching classes at New York Sports and Push Fitness Clubs locations, and bringing motivational tips and tricks to my social media followers.  MY JOURNEY TO FITNESS

Much of my passion for helping clients commit to the evolution of their bodies stems from my own fitness journey, which reflects a shift in career. My background is in communications and corporate philanthropy. I earned my BA in Communication, Journalism & Mass Media from Rutgers University and my Masters of Public Administration from New York University, and worked for years at companies including Lehman Brothers and Bank of New York Mellon.

While I’ve always enjoyed fitness, it truly became a saving grace for me after a difficult pregnancy and babyhood for my son. In the first few months of his life, my little boy spent almost a month in intensive care. Shortly after his release, we were in a car accident that landed him back in the hospital. Once home, he had to be quarantined from germs and closely monitored. I was scared for his well-being, and felt isolated and emotionally drained. As a result, I was not taking good care of myself.


Then one day, my wonderful husband came home with a surprise that changed everything—a new spin bike! I started riding again, and as a result started feeling healthy and strong for the first time in quite a while. My son kept improving, and I felt like I was becoming myself again. Taking care of myself empowered me to be the best mom I could be, and ultimately to start Erica’s Total Fitness Evolution. I’m proud to say that today, my family is doing great. It is, then, truly gratifying and humbling to be able to bring all the benefits that fitness, health, and nutrition can provide to my clients. I never lose sight of the fact that a commitment to wellness can be life-changing—because it was, in every way, for me.

Erica’s Total Fitness Evolution aims to empower individuals to evolve a healthier version of themselves through customized programming, online accountability programs, social media platforms, personal development and promoting an overall fitness and wellness focused lifestyle. My solutions help you realize that success, health and a positive transformation inside and out is more than possible to achieve. Through an authentic brand individuals can learn how to fuel and strengthen their minds and bodies, how to regain confidence in their own skin, how to prepare and eat balanced meals without getting bored and how to exercise smarter not harder!

I provide personalized workouts that specifically address your fitness goals and dilemmas. These aren’t cookie cutter or generic workouts –they’re specific to YOU and your needs!

Every workout includes core strengthening for improving balance, stability and trunk control, cardiovascular endurance and aerobic training, strength training to sculpt your muscles, build strength and endurance, and recovery stretching.

HANDS ON COACH

My approach is not about being a drill sergeant – I come from a place of inspiration and motivation. You’ll feel like you’re working out with your best friend who will support and help push you.

CUSTOMIZED

I customize workouts are tailored to address your specific needs, body type, and personal challenges. Each workout will builds upon the previous so that I can help you progress and evolve!

FLEXIBILITY

I’m a full-time mom who also understands the need for flexibility, using your time wisely and taking care of yourself. We’ll work together to develop a training schedule around your life.

I am committed to providing ongoing support that helps you work out smarter, not harder, teaches you how your body works so you are empowered, and challenges your mindset so you understand how to get results.
